Costa Rica’s capital is preparing to host the upcoming edition of TICAL in 2025, reaffirming its role as a key hub for digital transformation in Latin America and the Caribbean.
From November 11 to 13, 2025, the DoubleTree by Hilton Cariari Hotel in San José will be the venue for the 14th edition of TICAL, the flagship event of RedCLARA, which has become one of the region’s most important forums for collaboration in science, technology, and innovation.
In this edition, RedCONARE— the Advanced Research and Education Network of Costa Rica’s National Council of University Chancellors —will serve as co-organizer, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening the country’s digital capabilities and its role as a strategic actor in the regional science and technology ecosystem.
TICAL2025 will bring together technology leaders, researchers, academics, and representatives from national research and education networks across the region. The event will provide a high-level platform for trend analysis, experience sharing, and the development of strategic partnerships focused on innovation, digital transformation in higher education, and scientific advancement.
The TICAL2025 program TICAL2025 will feature keynote lectures, expert panels, and thematic sessions addressing topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, academic connectivity, open science, data governance, and digital sustainability, among others. The agenda will align with the objectives of the Alianza Digital Unión Europea – América Latina y el Caribe (EU-LAC) and the BELLA II project,an initiative aimed at strengthening digital infrastructure and collaborative capabilities between Europe and Latin America.
TICAL2025 will be much more than an event — it will be a unique opportunity to shape the digital future of Latin America from the heart of Central America.
